BREATH IN BREATH OUT

Why oh Why is it that every single musician feels the need to start some uninspired fashion label? Budding fashion designers must pissed-OFF! I know i would be, after 4 years in design school, enduring the everyday student stuggles, eating cold beans, and then Nelly comes along waving his applebottoms in your face! Fuck!
Pharrell William. I guess I'll cut Pharrell Williams some slack, i mean, if i was chilling with Nigo for long enough, i too would want to put out some garms. Lord know that with Nigo behind it, any line is bound to be a success. But at $100 for a shirt? You know i ebayed that shit, £16. Holler up in yo face.
Theres one musician that im definite will KILL IT when he brings out a clothing line. Mr West! Word, I give Kanye props, as he actually seems into his fashion grind. This is what he had to say in his blog...

'I just love the clothes! Lex and I are not there 2 take pictures... I don't have an album about 2 drop... my tour is sold out... I love fashion and this is one of the funnest things we can make time for! I totally love and respect any designer that won't let me come 2 there show... it's their show... they don't owe me anything... Balenciaga is one of the illest lines right now and I don't feel any type of way about not getting in! There's always a catch 22 in being a celeb ... your motives are always questioned... but only time will show my true love MY FIRST LOVE is for fashion and I appreciate just being in a position 2 afford 2 be able 2 spend a week in Paris visiting shows. I wish everyone could have this experience, the new music you hear, the new people you meet and most of all the beautiful clothes! I understand that some designers don't want all that unnecessary commotion at there shows, that's what I mean by "I get a lot of attention" ... I feel like music and fashion don't bridge enough... at least not as much as it did in the 80's when Madonna and Michael actually influenced designers... there was a give and take. I never use my blog 2 clear stuff up... but this is so close 2 my heart I had 2 say something... Anyone saying something negative has it wrong, they've got me wrong... I just want 2 make great art on every level and fashion shows are one of the best forms of art in the world. Thank you Paris again for the inspiration!!!'

How refreshing. Thats some dedication right there. As apposed to 'She got them applebottom jeans, boots with the fur', Ok T-pain, just dont be bringing out no 'boots with the fur' line anytime soon.

AGGY AGGY AGGY

We love Little miss Aggy over here at AINTGOTNONE. We love the fact that she rocks the flyest Vivienne Westwood, but still finds time to watch corrie with tea and crumpets. Cor blimey!

So we thought it only right that she's been voted Tatlers best dressed! Go head girl! From fish and chip shops to fur coats and designer shoes. Mad. Anyway, atleast Kate Moss didnt win. Although we are 'fond' of the Moss, we're thinking too much over exposure? Theres nothing fly about getting drunk with Kelly Osbourne. Nope.

I WISH I HAD MORE THUMBS

Id give four thumbs UP for paris fashion week. Although it pains me that i couldnt be there, it doesnt even matter man, the collections were amazing.
YSL was particularly fresh, i like the rigidity and robotic nature of the outfits. Quite reminiscent of army uniform attire with quite a few of the tones. It was kinda made even more prominent with the matching hair and make up. Crazy.


Vivienne westwood aslo being another of the favourites gracefully killed it, i think its safe to say. This collection in particular is so, dare i say, savage and unconventional, that its refreshing to see a designer taking risks. Westwood is so theatrical, she never fails to put on a show. Another thing ive noticed, and commend her on is the intigration of ethnic models within her shows, as opposed to the 'token ethnic' i see with so many other designers.


Viktor and Rolf. 'Just say NO'. Genius.

I see the clothes and a few thoughts run through my mind...

-im gonna get my design grind-on!


Then i get infront of the sewing machine and it slowly sinks in that im no gareth pugh.

HELLO NEW WORLD

They say that if you want to make an impact with anything, you need to come out with a bang. Like when Kanye West brought out 'College dropout', and it was so sick that i had the urge to drop outta school, just cause Kanye did it. Or when N-E-R-D killed it at Hammersmith apollo in 2004, that shit was bananas (although pharrell is killing ME with this attire, son).

If you want to win at life, you need to do it big, and as a debut blog we plan on doing just that. As for our big bang? F#ck that, wait and see.
